If your child (ages 5-12) has some great ideas running through their head about a fun board game, now?s the time to pull it together and submit it for this cool board game contest.
University Games, a long-standing game and puzzle company, has offered the National Young Game Inventors Contest for over 12 years.
To enter, kids need to think up the idea for the game that?s fun to play (it can be on any subject, but must be a board game, not a card game or other toy). Then, decide what the board and pieces look like, figure out the rules and how to play and design a sample of the board and pieces. After trying it out with family and friends, send the game to University Games. Find out more details about the National Young Game Inventors Contest on their website.
University Games started in 1985 and have developed and manufactured over 200 games including Brain Quest, Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?, Murder Mystery Party, 20 Questions, Sort it Out!, and Worst-Case Scenario? book series. Their games have also won numerous toy awards from Parent?s Choice, Family Fun Magazine, Child Magazine, and Parenting Magazine.Their BePuzzled puzzles are also fantastic! Some of the most interesting and best selling products in the BePuzzled line for adults are the classic mystery and Impossibles jigsaw puzzles and for children are the Super WHY!, Five Little Monkeys and Eric Carle jigsaw puzzles.
